The Linen Closet
This is where all the misfit cover songs I do - all live versions recorded on my home computer - get stored and gather dust. Usually my goal is to Edie-ize whatever song is stuck in my head, and do it as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
Currently being stored in the closet:
The Beatles - Yesterday
Leonard Cohen - One of Us Cannot be Wrong
Talking Heads - Radio Head

Argument for a Keyless Entry System
This was an experiment to see if I could write a full guitar-based rock song. All of the instruments were played by me, and the drums I put together with Reason. I was highly influenced by The Strokes and Pixies when it came to figuring out rock structure. I wanted to add a little bit of Franz Ferdinand, but I don't think I'm quite debonair enough to pull it off. The vocals desperately need to be re-recorded, but probably never will be.

(recycle your waste)
Just a little quirky synth pop number. This song is missing a guitar line, but you get the point. I used Reason for the drums and bassline, and my Yamaha XK-6 for the synth.

The Graverobber
This was the first complete song I ever wrote and recorded on my own back in 2002. I still think it is the best song I've ever done on my own when it comes to quality of recording, even if stylistically, I don't really care much for it. Fruity loops was used for the drums (my first and only time using that program, I prefer Reason) and almost everything else was done through MIDI, Cakewalk Sonar, soundfonts and my Casio.

Here Comes the Rain Again
This is a drum n' bass cover version of the Eurythmics song as produced by the Philly-based trip-hop band Beauty's Confusion back in 2001 when I was their singer (and we lived in Florida.) We never finished it, the break in the middle was supposed to have synth added on top, but it's still a fun time for the whole family.

Wavs
This entire song was written using the program Reason. It was my first time really using the program, and I wanted to see what I could accomplish with it. I've never been happy with the lyrics for this song, though, and have never been able to come up with a good way to re-write them.
